I've heard many people say that babies really start to get fun at around 6 months. It's so true! This month has been great. For lots of reasons, but Dean really is getting to be so fun. He's able to interact a lot more and is constantly learning new things. He sleeps through the night until 6:30. He is starting to fuss if I ever leave him in a room by himself for a minute, but he calms down when I come back in. We've gone swimming three times this month and he has done really well. He's always cried at first, but has calmed down pretty quickly. He still is doing great with solid food. I'd always heard to start babies with veggies because if you give them fruits first, they prefer the sweetness and then they won't eat veggies later on. Dean had been eating veggies for a while when I gave him fruit. He WON'T eat it unless it's mixed in with his oatmeal cereal. He's generally a happy kid, but he's had some full on scream fits when I've tried to feed him fruit. But he downs green beans. What is wrong with this kid?! Nothing, really. He's pretty much perfect. Here's the photo overload.
Here he spit up and then rolled in it. I think it's so funny. (Sidenote: my zote soap has been getting more use since spit up is now green or orange. Gross.)
Dean cut his first tooth on May 1. It was through the skin, but you can barely see it in the picture.
So this one day he was just so stinking cute I couldn't even handle it!!
He can sit up so good now! He has the occasional topple, but overall he can just sit all on his own. He's gotten really good at leaning over to pick things up and sitting all the way back up straight.
Trevor graduated!! I'll have to download the pictures we took on our camera that's not my phone. And how did I not take a single picture on my phone of Dean with any of the 8 family members that came into town for the graduation? So lame. And story of my life. Here is Dean enjoying Trevor's tassel.
A good shot of his teeth!
He can {sort of} hold his own bottle!
We had some fun time outside the other day and this cute lady came over and asked if I wanted her to take our picture since it was such a sweet moment and she wanted me to be able to remember it.
Anne got Dean this crackers (like Club crackers). He loves them. He does great at taking bites and chewing. Most of the time I feed them to him so I can mark a good bite size with my fingers and he can't go past it. But he really does great holding it himself. It's just more messy.
Dean grabbed the spoon while there was a full bite on it, and swatted the bowl on the floor. You'll see the food splattered on the wall. We have entered that stage.
Dean loves to FaceTime!
And here's the pictures with the blanket and elephant. He was SO much more interested in the elephant than in past months. He wouldn't put it down. He kept swinging it around. It was so cute, but hard to get still pictures.
I was trying to get him to smile, but every time he did he brought the elephant up to his face. So here's him smiling.
